Painted a digital plein air from life yesterday, it was fun to keep up with the changing time of the day/lighting condiitions!
last assignment was to create a human/tetrapod hybrid. As last time, anatomy charts were required. I did a lot of iterations of heads, will try to shoot and upload later. This is not the nicest guy you could meet on the street.
Lineart, head close-up. I enjoyed drawing and hatching , I use to draw less details kill line with overpaint, but this time went with other technique, preserving lines and throwing in colors on layer below.
I thought I'll upload a line verion of the creature from my previous post too, since I'm writing about process here.
For technique reference I was looking at Terryl's Elemex drawing which I saved from Creatures of Amalthea's course back in the day. The course is not available anymore , but I find the few ones I saved very helpful.
I'm into 1st week of Creature anatomy course with Terryl Whitlatch :)
Super excited about it, but it's also very intense (which is good :) ).
I'm going to share some of my sketches and assignments here, probably not everything since it takes time to photograph/upload stuff, so I might share sketches later on.
Part of the assignment was to create a generic tetrapod based on real animals' anatomy. Here's mine :)
